This long-sleeved denim button-up shirt is crafted in Japan by Sugar Cane, a division of Toyo Enterprises. It is made from 9 Oz. denim fabric, utilizing rope-dyed indigo yarn for the warp and natural-colored yarn for the weft, woven on an old loom. And the design of the shirt is inspired by classic American work shirts from the 1950s. Additionally, as part of the finishing process, it is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage. The beauty of this piece is the balance of classic construction and modern updates from Sugar Cane. Made from 100% cotton, this non-stretch, medium-weight 9-ounces Japanese blue indigo denim is woven with rope-dyed indigo yarns in the warp and natural yarns in the weft. The denim fabric is made of medium-weight, densely woven material that offers a minimal drape and a touch of a bit of stiffness, giving it a distinct texture. Fabric : Made from 100% cotton, this non-stretch, medium-weight 9-ounces Japanese blue indigo denim is woven with rope-dyed indigo yarns in the warp and natural yarns in the weft. The denim fabric is made of medium-weight, densely woven material that offers a minimal drape and a touch of a bit of stiffness, giving it a distinct texture. Additionally, as part of the finishing process, it is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage. Indigo yarn of this denim is dyed using the rope-dyeing technique. The outside of the yarn, which is repeatedly dyed using the indigo rope-dyeing technique, is dyed a indigo color, while the core of yarn does not absorb much dye and remains white. And the outside of indigo colored yarn fades through repeated wear and washing and the white core of yarn becomes more prominent. As a result, the high contrast between the faded blue and the white core gives a classic worn-in denim look. And the more you wear, the more denim will fade beautifully.

Types of garment closure (Placket type) : 6 buttons on front opening. Full-button closure (Front placket, Front button closure) with vertical button holes. Buttons are cat's eye-shaped urea buttons.

Collar Type : Regular collar with collar band for crisper appearance.

Bottom hem type : Rounded shirttail. Curved hem (shirt tail).

Pocket : Classically-styled two chest flap pockets with button closure. The upper pocket corners are bar tacked for extra strength. The flap on the left chest pocket has a hole designed for a pen slot.

Yoke type : Slightly curved back yoke. A shirt yoke is made from two layers of fabric for durability. Reinforced double-layers shoulder yoke for greater durability at at stress points.

Back of the Shirt : No pleats for easy ironing and clean lines.
